Utkala empowers people to realise their full potential and find fulfilment in their lives. She holds a Masters in Healthcare Administration from the California State University, a Bachelors in Pharmacy from Sri Jayadev College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bhubhaneswar, and diplomas in counselling, music therapy, and adolescent mental health.  She is a certified Life Coach and her work and research focus on effective tools for adaptation to change.  She is currently pursuing an MS in Marriage and Family Psychology.

Utkala has nearly 20 years of experience in healthcare and since 2017 she has provided counselling and music therapy services to children and adults. She also counsels couples dealing with infertility, family issues, and perinatal depression and anxiety. She works in collaboration with Dr. Debi Deutsch to understand family structures in immigrant families as they adapt to a new country.

Utkala has effectively used music and yoga to improve the cognitive skills of special needs children and young adults, and puts her faith in the power of music to heal wounded hearts and minds.
